Support Cashew Women at United Nations

From Central Trinidad to the United Nations New York!

Our work has spoken volumes and as a result we are invited to present our achievements on the world stage.

We are five (5) rural women of the Cashew Gardens Community Council which is located in Central Trinidad. Our work includes the following with fifty (50) plus youths:

The Commission for the Status of Women (CSW63) is a forum which focuses on the empowerment of women and girls. Eighty-eight (88) countries participate in this very exciting coalition of hundreds of cultures, each seeking a voice, as we highlight the issues affecting women and girls in our own corner of the world. This two week event is held in New York from March 11th to 22nd at the United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan.

We are very passionate and excited about what we do and will like to take this opportunity to showcase our work at this convention, however CGCC is a ‘Non Profit’ organization and all of our efforts are out of pocket. In order for us to attend we are seeking to raise forty-five thousand TT dollars ($45,000) to assist with airfare and accommodation for five (5) of us for two weeks.

Please contribute to our fund or send us your prayers and well wishes.
