I am a wife and mother of 2 and I have been living with multiple sclerosis for the past 18 years.
I have struggled through symptoms such as paralysis, numbness, fatigue, blurry vision, slurred speech, bladder and bowel problems, depression, anxiety, weakness in legs, tremors in hands, muscle spasms and even more.
I have done a good job thus far of taking care of my needs but as I am getting older and the disease is progressing it is becoming more and more difficult to manage my expenses. My fear is that this disease will overtake me and I will be unable to take care of my family. I have been working on pieces of writing that details my experiences throughout the disease and my hope is to complete it when I reach the milestone of 20 years living with ms. It is becoming increasingly difficult though and I am hoping to raise awareness to this awful disease that many persons even here in Trinidad, suffer through silently.
Any contribution that can be made to help with my medical expenses will be greatly appreciated and go a long way in helping me stand on my own two feet for a while longer.
