My name is Marvin Waldrop, and I am raising funds alongside my teammate and friend Ireal Daly. We are dedicated young footballers pursuing an opportunity to play in the MiTour London Cup on July 28th, 2022. Our club, Premier Fc, is raising money to help the less fortunate players with their travel expenses. Still, as leaders (I am Club captain of Sando U19 and Ireal Captain of Premier FC U19), we feel it is imperative to assist in this endeavor by raising our own money.

As firstborn boys from single-parent households, it's important to us not to burden our mothers, and it is our goal to succeed in caring for our families in the future. This opportunity to be seen by the Premiership coaches in attendance can potentially open doors that we would not be able to walk through locally. Ireal and I are both gifted players who have played at the National level. National is the highest level of play in the country, but garnering exposure abroad may lead us further to fulfill our lifelong dreams of playing professional football.

The Covid 19 pandemic took away two years of our footballing lives, which would have closed many doors. Everything became more of a struggle, from school to home life to playing football. Yet still, we were determined to stay ready for any opportunity that would present itself. That included studying hard to excel at the CSEC exams, working many odd jobs to help support our mothers and training alone to stay fit. Ireal supported me with school, and I kept Ireal in the loop for any opportunity to play ball.

The money that we raise will be used to pay for expenses associated with our travel and the purchase of football gear. We will use any additional money raised to assist another player with their travel expenses or donate football boots.
