This campaign fundraiser will support Jamie Philbert's enrollment at the University of Limerick in Ireland for the Masters of Arts in Ethnochoreology 2022/2023. The programme is for one year. Contributions towards the campaign will allow payment of tuition, roundtrip airfare, living expenses and scholarly research. An offer letter was received in April and tuition must be paid to the University before attending in September 2022.

The campaign goal is $200,000 TTD which is equivalent to 29,451.77 USD and 27,222.90 Euros. My tuition is 15,800 Euros. Once I meet my projected financial goal 11,422.90 euros will be towards living expenses. According to my research it costs between 7,000-10,000 euros to live in Limerick as an international student. This will cover accomodations/rent, bills, food, transport, etc.

I am in the process of applying for scholarships elsewhere to aid however have not received any concrete offers as yet.

This is an important moment in my journey and I accept full responsibility. I do not take any kindness or generosity bestowed upon me lightly. Nor do I have the expectation that this responsibility belongs to anyone but I. I remain grateful for the good vibrations sent towards this moment. I am excited not only about what doors this opens for me as an indvidual but what it means for my community. I hope to be not the first in my community to complete my Masters and eventually my PHD yet the first of many.
