We are trying to raise TT$16,800 (USD$2400) to cover airfare for Cheyenne and JASA to get to Bordeaux. Then it's on to Lacanau for the RipCurl® Grom Search event. JASA has arranged transportation to/from the competition venue in addition to accommodation and meals while in Lacanau.

INTRO (the FULL STORY)
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Jason Apparicio and I am the Owner and Operator of the Jason Apparicio Surf Academy (aka JASA).

I am reaching out to you because there is young lady in our midst who needs your assistance. I’m currently coaching a brilliant young prodigy that has all the makings of an 11 year old “Kelly Slater” (the G.O.A.T.), but we need your assistance to give her the opportunity to engage on an international stage, her name is Cheyenne Patino-Ubeda.. and she needs to get to France.

The 11-year-old surfing and outdoors enthusiast who has taken the French Caribbean surf scene by storm, Cheyenne hails from Mt. Irvine, Tobago and along with her brother Chayton the dynamic duo can often be seen surfing the waves of Mt. Irvine.

As a result of her recent regional success in both Martinique and Guadeloupe during the month of March 2023, where she dominated both events in her Division, Cheyenne has qualified to represent Trinidad and Tobago in the upcoming RipCurl® Grom Search in Lacanau, FRANCE.

In her campaign to the finals in Guadeloupe, Cheyenne was pitted against one of the finalists in last year’s RipCurl® Grom Search. Not once but twice did she dominate the matchup, ultimately scoring 16 points (vs her closest rival’s, 8) in the FINALs.

She has been tested and has proven herself worthy to stand toe to toe and wave to wave with the best in Europe, where she will have the opportunity to live out her dream of becoming a European Champion.
