Who is Michele Dowrich? So many people answered this question in so many different ways. To her students she is “Miss” and has been shaping and molding their lives as an educator for the past 37 years, from primary school to secondary school. Michele is well known in the Performing Arts as an avid contributor and participant, her many hats include being; Music Teacher for Music Festivals, Curriculum Officer in the Visual & Performing Arts in the Ministry of Education, Assistant Secretary of the South Music Festival Committee, as well as an Adjudicator with Pan Trinbago.

Michele is a trained vocalist, who lends her talent to church, community and beyond. Then there is the “common echo” of those who are asked about her; “she’s a passionate, giving, humble, beautiful soul, who EVERYONE can call on at ANYTIME”. This rings out so true and many times she leaves herself undone, without a murmur of a complaint.

For quite some time, Michele has been struggling with her mobility. She has tried to continue as best as she can but her doctors have now said that she has to undergo hip replacement surgery and soon. The surgery will be 2 part with the first one carded for the end of April. The second one will be dependent on her progress and the Doctor’s advice. Michele has to raise a total of Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00) to cover her surgical procedure, aftercare, medication etc. This is the time where we are asking all those people whose lives she has touched and left beautiful imprints on, to show up and support her.
