The Fondes Amandes Community Reforestation Project (FACRP) is a pioneering environmental non-profit organization based in the Northern Range of Trinidad and Tobago. Our mission is to combat bush and forest fires, promote sustainable reforestation, and protect biodiversity through innovative, community-driven initiatives. As the dry season approaches, the risk of these fires escalates drastically, threatening lives, property, and ecosystems! Over 85% of bushfires in Trinidad & Tobago are caused by human activities, ranging from discarded cigarette butts to slash-and-burn land clearing. These fires not only devastate wildlife habitats but also endanger human health and contributes negatively to climate change. Public awareness and behavioural change are critical to preventing these fires.

To address this urgent need, we have partnered with the advertising agency F1 Agency to launch a powerful Bushfire Prevention Campaign in December 2024, titled "Don’t Start What We Can’t Stop." The campaign features visually compelling messages to educate the public on the causes and consequences of bushfires while promoting preventative behaviours.
