The Chaguanas North Secondary School engages in excess of 90 students in its 5 football teams: (Boys U13, U14, U16, U19 and Girls U19). Many of these students live in "at risk" areas and if they do not participate in the football, could find themselves in trouble. Chaguanas North Secondary is one of only two central secondary schools that play in the premiership division of the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL). The 2022 edition of the SSFL runs from September to December and in order to participate, the school needs to secure funding to the tune of $150000 to procure uniforms, equipment, meals, water, security and transportation.
