Hi, my name is Brandon Ramkissoon, and I’m reaching out for help during a very difficult time in my life. I am visually impaired and doing my best to live independently. Unfortunately, I am currently facing an outstanding WASA water bill for my home, and it has become a heavy financial burden that I cannot manage on my own. When I was a child, the WASA account for this property was not in my name, and my father was responsible for the payments. Sadly, my father passed away in January 2021. After his passing, I did not receive WASA bills for some time. Years later, after I inherited the property and made it my home, I began receiving the WASA bills—even though the account is still not officially in my name. As the homeowner, I am now responsible for the bill, and the accumulated balance has become overwhelming for me. Living with visual impairment already comes with many daily challenges, and this situation has added significant stress and worry. I am doing everything I can to remain independent, but at this time, I truly need help.
