Our campaign seeks to provide avenues to success for our youth within our community and surrounding environs within the realm of sport. Our group, Freetown Sports Group has recognized the importance of creating a body with the intention of assisting, guiding, and developing our youth so that they can be afforded opportunities that will increase their standard of living for themselves and their families. Many of our youth that comes from our community use sport as a tool to achieve success, however, post-pandemic, due to financial reasons, a lot of them have not been able to restart as they have not been able to afford it. This has a ripple effect as it makes our youth more vulnerable to negative elements which usually leads to them becoming susceptible to criminal activities. To avoid this, our group runs a Football Academy that caters to both boys and girls, aged three (3) to eighteen (18), which puts our young talents in an environment that caters to their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Our group intends to raise as many funds as we could so that we can help as many of our youth as we can, whether it be to acquire gear, get an education, or even sometimes, have something to eat. Freetown Sports Group has already been able to get two (2) of our academy prospects transferred to schools that will aid in them acquiring a solid education, which will put them on the path to success.
