Joshua James is a young, talented MMA fighter from the HiitFitt Gym in St James. He and his coach, Joash Walkins, have been selected by the Trinidad and Tobago Mixed Martial Arts Federation to compete in the IMAAF Pan American Championship in Bogota, Colombia in early August (9-14). They will be part of the national team. Total expenses for both men come to approximately $35,000 (TTD).

The HiitFitt gym of Patna St, St James, has been in existence for several years, and has produced several champions including Dwayne Hinds and Jeremy Rodolfo, a former Pan American champion. Joshua has had several fights in Trinidad over the last year and won them convincingly. His last fight was the main bout on July 1, at the Woodbrook Youth Centre, which he won convincingly.
