Carlissa Patterson is an aspiring student who needs your assistance to acheive her dream of becoming a Veterinary Surgeon. As the daughter of a single mother, despite having experienced many challenges she was the Upper 6 valedictorian of her graduating class of 2022 with a combination of 16 passes in CSEC and CAPE, inclusive of distinctions. She was accepted into Howard University with a partial scholarship 2021, but because of financial difficulty she had to make the difficult decision to defer her acceptance. She has again been offered acceptance into Brock University and St. Francis Xavier's University- top universities in Canada. Although she has been offered partial scholarships from both schools, the cost of attendance is $40,000CAD/year. She hopes to begin her study abroad in January 2024 to become the surgeon she aspires to be.
