Hi guys! My name is Anderson Lewis and I'm reaching out for your help to fund this opportunity I received. I am being given the opportunity to study and perform abroad at the prestigious company of Garth Fagan Dance.

Garth Fagan is a Jamaican-born choreographer renowned for his innovative fusion of modern dance, ballet, and Afro-Caribbean movement. Born in Kingston in 1940, he began his dance journey with Ivy Baxter's Jamaica National Dance Theatre. In 1970, he founded Garth Fagan Dance in Rochester, New York, a company celebrated for its unique style and contributions to contemporary dance.

Fagan's most acclaimed work is his choreography for Disney's Broadway production of The Lion King, which earned him the 1998 Tony Award for Best Choreography, among other accolades. His choreography is distinguished by its blend of strength, fluidity, and rhythmic complexity, reflecting a deep understanding of diverse dance traditions. Beyond the stage, Fagan has been recognized with numerous honors, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Fulbright 50th Anniversary Distinguished Fellowship.

His legacy continues through the ongoing work of Garth Fagan Dance and his influence on dancers and choreographers worldwide. I happen to be one of the dancers he's impacted as it's been my dream to perform on Broadway and other international stages for as long as I can remember and now I'm being given the chance to make that dream come true.
