My name is indera Williams and I am 51 years old. I am a diabetic I was told that when on my 40th birthday I went to the doctor because I was losing alot of weight ,feeling tired and thirsty all of the time and my sugar reading was around 334. Normal readings are from 70 to 120. I was then diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Over the last decade, I have been battling to keep my sugar levels at regular using a strict medicine regime which include administering insulin shots daily. Although I have been following the doctors requirements, my condition has severely worsened and has attacked both of my eyes. Currently, I am a security guard and some days I am unable to read or write or even notice my two feet in front of me. Unfortunately now, surgery is required in order to give proper vision a second chance. My salary now barely covers living expenses as some days I am too unwell to make a productive days work. My savings have since been depleted over the years with healthy foods and vitamins, life and now Covid19. I have also been on a Charity list awaiting assistance with eye surgery for more than a year to the point now where vision is completely lost in one eye and almost on its way out for the other. I cannot wait any longer or I may completely lose my sight if this operation is not received soon and will not be able to continue making a living for myself.
