Hello, my name is Joanna, I’m a 36-year-old woman from Trinidad and Tobago. I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your prayers, support, and help in raising funds for urgent medical surgeries that I can no longer delay.

Earlier this year, I suffered the heartbreaking loss of my baby. Since that moment, my world has been turned upside down — physically, emotionally, and financially. I haven’t been able to return to work since January due to the toll on my health. Now, I am fighting a very real battle for my life and mobility.

I’ve been diagnosed with:

• Avascular Necrosis (AVN) of my left hip — where the bone is dying and causing severe, constant pain
• Septic Arthritis in my right knee, which remains painful and swollen even after surgical washout
• A gallstone obstructing my bile duct, causing digestive issues and dangerous inflammation

On top of all this, I have sickle cell disease (HbSS), which makes my recovery even more delicate and urgent.

Most days, I can barely walk. I use a cane or crutch, and I spend much of my time confined to bed. The pain is intense, and I feel like my life is slowly being taken away from me.

I have been advised to undergo:

• Hip replacement surgery
• Laparoscopic for gallbladder removal surgery

Thankfully, these surgeries can be done at a private hospital here in Trinidad and Tobago. But the cost is more than I can bear alone. Between the two procedures, medical imaging, medications, rehabilitation, and recovery.

The public healthcare system here is overwhelmed, and I’ve not been placed on a waiting list yet. I have no clear date in sight. I simply cannot wait any longer. My condition is worsening, and the pain is unbearable.

I believe in the power of God, and I believe in the kindness of people. I am asking for your help to make this healing possible.
