IMPORTANT NOTICE:
YOUR CARD STATEMENT WILL SHOW AS BLUE GURUZ INC.

Hi, my name is Joshua Blackman. I am currently a full-time student of the University of Trinidad and Tobago pursuing a BFA in Digital Media Arts. Outside of school, I am a church musician who mainly plays the drumkit at the Woodbrook Pentecostal Church, Woodbrook, and produces music at home under the name Yahvibes Productions. However, with a few years of experience in music production, I am currently working on two soca music projects with hopes of it leaving our shores. Why? Because my aim is to take Soca music to the billboards within this decade but to do so I would need your support in making this venture successful. It is about time the world really sees what we have to offer and I am fully optimistic and confident on this journey of putting Soca on international stages such as the Grammys.

The project to be released would be two songs that fall in the Power and Groovy sub-genres.
Now I intend to go about this production by (i) producing something unique, catchy, and relatable and not straying to much from the traditional soca that we are familiar with (ii) carrying out questionnaires concerning the genre to those abroad which will guide the production process in reaching the target market (iii) ensuring the quality of the production is at its optimum. Thus, we should expect the music to transcend the season when it is mostly played.

With that in mind, your donations would go towards mixing and polishing (mastering) of the musical product in its final stages, since high-quality music is expected on the international stage. I assure you that I would go the extra mile to present a product that is palatable to those home and away.

For a twin nation of so many musical varieties, also having the happiest music on earth, I believe that our music goes beyond and even remedies issues of the heart and soul. So let's break barriers and change the view that "Soca is just carnival music."

Note: For your participation in this endeavor you all will be the first to listen to the music project before the decided release date. Also, you will be updated on the progress of this product from time to time, the artiste/s to be featured, etc. Please check the rewards and the project cost sections below.
