Kind regards, On this occasion, I am writing to you with the purpose of requesting financial aid to cover a series of medical and family expenses. For six years, I have been here on the island of Trinidad, legally and with all my documents in order. I came because of the crisis in Venezuela, the country where I lived most of my life and where I left my family. I am grateful to have been able to get out and be here; however, this has come at great and sad sacrifices. In Venezuela, as I already mentioned, I left my wife and two children, ages 14 and 11, in addition to my mother. I have six years of experience without seeing them. Every day, the possibility of returning is more distant, and given the fact of being legal here, the most coherent option is to bring them here. My mother is a diabetic and a breast cancer patient, and although I send money, it is not possible to get the medicines in Venezuela. Recently, my son, who was in the high ranks of children's soccer there, had a major knee injury while playing and requires an urgent operation: 1. Rupture of Left ACL Anterior Cruciate Ligament. 2. Rupture of the posterior horn of the left meniscus. This operation is not economically feasible there in Venezuela, and given his age, and what he promised as a player, my son is in a great depression. I lead an honest and hardworking life with a history of no complaints or negativity here in Trinidad. Continuous sending of money even beyond for food expenses; however, emotionally and psychologically, the distance is not a hug. Now, with the health facts he has already sung, everything has become uphill. Today, I address you with the greatest humility of heart in search of assistance to be able to solve this situation of vulnerability. My priority is to provide shelter and medical assistance to my family as they deserve.
