DESCRIPTION:
Hi My name is Lisa Blackman, Nissi's Mom. Nissi is 9 years old with Spastic Cerebral Palsy. We are Living in Trinidad and Tobago and we have been told she has to undergo surgery for her spine as it is now threatening her internal organs. I will leave you with a little history on Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis and will kindly ask for any contributions be it financial or prayers. Please any assistance in helping us to get this done as soon as possible to save our amazing Nissi from distress or discomfort. Nissi is full of joy and love and always smiling, despite her physical limitations. She is so alert and wish we could have done more to assist with her daily physical life. Being able to have this surgery done, it will help her and us both.
Contributions will go towards her surgery after care, physical therapy to strengthen her core and physical movement and to purchase 3 main items (A specialised Wheel Chair for Cerebral Palsy, a Bath Chair for disabled people, and a Car Seat to transport disabled adults).

Scoliosis - Scoliosis is the abnormal twisting and curvature of the spine. It is usually first noticed by a change in appearance of the back. Typical signs include: a visibly curved spine. one shoulder being higher than the other, we will share pictures.
Cerebral palsy-
Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of disorders that affect a person’s ability to move and maintain balance and posture. CP is the most common motor disability in childhood. Cerebral means having to do with the brain. Palsy means weakness or problems with using the muscles. CP is caused by abnormal brain development or damage to the developing brain that affects a person’s ability to control his or her muscles.

The symptoms of CP vary from person to person. A person with severe CP might need to use special equipment to be able to walk, or might not be able to walk at all and might need lifelong care. A person with mild CP, on the other hand, might walk a little awkwardly, but might not need any special help. CP does not get worse over time, though the exact symptoms can change over a person’s lifetime.

All people with CP have problems with movement and posture. Many also have related conditions such as intellectual disability; seizures; problems with vision, hearing, or speech; changes in the spine (such as scoliosis); or joint problems (such as contractures).
Spastic Cerebral Palsy
The most common type of CP is spastic CP. Spastic CP affects about 80% of people with CP.

People with spastic CP have increased muscle tone. This means their muscles are stiff and, as a result, their movements can be awkward. Spastic CP usually is described by what parts of the body are affected:
Spastic quadriplegia/quadriparesis―Spastic quadriplegia is the most severe form of spastic CP and affects all four limbs, the trunk, and the face. People with spastic quadriparesis usually cannot walk and often have other developmental disabilities such as intellectual disability; seizures; or problems with vision, hearing, or speech.

Just look at her smiles. lets support Niss's family however we can to provide them with some financial assistance to help give their baby girl Nissi what they can. They have not been able to get the equipment necessary for her to be able to move around without human resource (lifting her) and the intense therapy that is needed for her because of Financial Strain. Nissi has been diagnosed with Scoliosis and needs surgery However someone has assisted in getting the Surgery done for her. Her mom has injury from having to lift her everywhere, her arms, knees and back. We are kindly asking for what ever little can be shared to assist in getting the equipment she needs to make her day to day move arounds easier. A Wheelchair,
