Since leaving Venezuela five years ago in search of a better life, our father has lately been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer, a disease for which radiation therapy is sadly less effective than other cancer treatments because the lymph nodes don't respond well to it. We feel compelled to find the money for medical care and travel expenditures because chemotherapy and lymph node removal are one of the only effective choices that must be carried out as soon as possible.
