My husband Rene Ramoutar has been dealing with a variety of illnesses which has lead to kidney disease . In 2018 he started dialysis and during that time he has had many ups and downs. We have been searching for a kidney donor locally but have not been successful. A few weeks ago he suffered a cardiac event which on further investigation showed that his mitral valve in his heart has become calcified and therefore he need to have surgery to replace the valve. In the coming weeks he also has to do an Angiogram to look for blockages in his heart. In the meantime the cardiologist has suggested we start looking for options abroad for a Kidney Transplant in order to ensure his heart remains healthy after the surgery and to offer him a chance at a longer life.
Rene has been an educator for 37 years and a principal for 17 years. He has spent most of his life dedicated to educating the nation's children since beginning his career at Maraval R.C. School. He continues to work as the Principal of Todd's Rd R.C. School despite his illness.
Rene resides in Chaguanas with his wife and 2 sons age 14 and 18 years. He continues to be a pillar of strength for his entire family who need him. Any assitance you can offer us will be greatly apprecited.
