The Fifth Company Baptist school School was due to open physically on Tuesday 19 of April 2022 after months of being close down due to the pandemic. Students were very excited but the predicaments they faced currently cut their joy short. The school is under distressed and in poor conditions needing serious repairs. It is unsafe for the kids to stay in and due to that the school was closed since Wednesday 20 April.
The chairs are unable to sit in, totally destroyed as well as the cupboards so therefore the children have nowhere to store thier books and bags or any necessary tools for learning. There are no boards for teachers to be able to write work for the students. The windows are all falling apart including the fans so the students become uneasy because of the humidity. The desk and doors are completely taken over by termites, falling apart quickly with the slightest touch. The wall has a big hole in it. Most troubling problem is the wiring around the school especially in the class rooms. The wires are exposed which is a hazard for the students as well as the teachers. The roof are in needs of repairs as well.
It is very unsafe for the kids and this is for all those out there who are reading this and can give a helping hand. As Nelson Mandela said "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" This is the for the betterment of a lot of children, the future generations.
