The Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) is the oldest and largest non-governmental youth organization in the world. We operate in 119 countries, with over 57 million beneficiaries worldwide. In Trinidad and Tobago, we have been operating since 1964, and our primary focus has been on the development of children and youth. Our mission is to develop healthy, caring, and responsible individuals contributing to a society characterized by love and unity. YMCATT objective is to build strong individuals, families, and communities across the spectrum of Trinidad and Tobago. To meet these objectives, most of the funding emanates from private and public sector contributions.

YMCA of Trinidad and Tobago (YMCATT) offers Community Outreach, Youth Leadership Training & Empowerment, Early Childhood Care Services, Aquatics, After School Programme, Seniors Activity Programme, and Vacation Camp Services.

Unfortunately, our organization took a huge hit during the COVID-19 Pandemic which resulted in the closure of our pool which provided many opportunities to those within the surrounding environs. Our organization has received thousands of calls from hopeful stakeholders with regard to the reopening of the pool, however, the cost is far too great for us to achieve on our own.

Additionally, in September 2022, our organization suffered another blow-an electrical fire. This incident mainly affected our preschool department so we are hoping to have it repaired at the earliest convenience. After speaking with T&Tec Officials, we were advised that our entire organization will need rewiring, an expense that we are not able to afford.
