Thank you for taking the time out to read this summary of Ulish Michael James’ life-changing medical situation.
Throughout his life, Ulish has always been a vibrant and active individual, he loved playing sports and outdoor activities. His life completely changed on that unfortunate day when he suffered a severe injury to his lower left leg. He could no longer do the things he loved especially, participating in his favorite sport, football. Through the grace of God, he managed to continue life at a slower pace, and never once allowed his injury to stop him. He persevered, working odd jobs to provide for himself and his family. He was persistent and determined to live life to the best of his ability, despite his disability and challenges.
Over time, the injury deteriorated and formed into a vascular (venous) ulcer, which slowly created other medical complications. One of the major complications of this type of wound is poor blood circulation, which causes damage to the skin cells and tissue at the affected area, which also slows the healing process in venous ulcers. Ulish sought medical help and was placed on a waiting list for the necessary skin/tissue grafting procedure, which typically assists in the healing process of such wounds. However, during the waiting period, his medical condition worsened, as blood vessels at the wound became compressed, causing further complications.
In March 2023 he experienced a medical emergency that almost took his life. He was rushed to the ER as he suffered a ruptured blood vessel on the ulcer. He was hospitalized on 3 separate emergencies between March and June 2023 with a repeated ruptured blood vessel. Unfortunately, after the 3rd hospitalization, there was no alternative option and his leg was amputated above the knee. His body suffered trauma and a significant loss of blood as a result of his medical situation. Since then, he has been bed-ridden, unable to work and provide for himself and his family.
This has been an emotionally life-changing situation for Ulish and his family. The once vibrant, robust, energetic, ambitious man that went all out to work and provide for his family, despite his disability, came crashing down almost instantly.
Due to this unforeseen turn of events, Ulish has been burdened and has not been able to keep up with his personal and medical bills. It’s also an additional stress on his emotional well-being, which makes it more challenging for his general health and recovery.
Ulish is in dire need of financial assistance to ease his burdens of backed up bills incurred due to his situation. He requires proper nutrition for a healthy and successful recovery from his amputation surgery, but he is unable to afford the nutritious food items and vitamins to rehabilitate his health.
As part of his recovery process, Ulish will have physical therapy sessions and would eventually require the use of prosthetic equipment to help him walk again. This is yet an additional cost that burdens Ulish’s mind.
During the next 6 months, Ulish will have monthly follow up doctor visits, which is also costly, as he has to pay someone to take him to and from his appointments.
Ulish has the determination to walk again and with your help, he can and will.
Ulish appreciates any help offered and is thankful for your kindness. He shares a message of gratitude and God’s continued Blessings to you and your family. If you'd like to donate in any other way, you can contact Ulish’s wife, Mrs. Sherene Khan at (868) 760-5647/ 328-7889.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and willingness to help Ulish walk again. Your generosity will have a lasting impact on his life and the lives of those who depend on him.
