Hi, my name is Zafaiya, I’m 18 years old and from Trinidad.

I’ve been accepted into the University of Bristol’s Foundation in Law and Social Sciences — a pathway to my dream of becoming a lawyer. This opportunity means everything to me.

I’ve already paid TT$30,000 (£3,000 deposit) toward my tuition, but the university now requires an additional TT$40000(£4,000) upfront within the next two weeks to secure my place in my course and issue my student visa however I’m only trying to reach the goal of TTD10,000 to assist my mother with the payment. 

My mum is a single parent who has always supported me the best she can, even while paying her own school fees. We don’t have the resources to cover this last barrier, and there’s no one else in my family who can help.

This is why I am asking for your support. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring me closer to securing my place and stepping into my future. Thank you for reading my story and for believing in my dream.
