Know Your Country with Liyah & Zari is an educational and entertaining series hosted by two 6 year old girls. Far too often we see that there is a gap in our education system regarding our country’s history. Shows such as What Yuh Know which is viewed on YouTube and social media platforms highlights this very often. It is therefore our aim to start at a very young age to educate the young ones so that they will become more knowledgeable about the history and other facts about Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean.
This series will contain five episodes per season and each episode will be 15 minutes long. It will be streamed on YouTube as this is one of the most popular platforms with children. Our target audience is children between the ages six to eleven years.
The production team consists of Aaron Williams, Dale Cedeno, Daniel Atherton and Gideon Bishop, year three students pursuing a BFA in Digital Media Arts at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. We have all been involved in various areas of music and video production on a professional level and are eager to combine our talents to produce content that will have a positive impact on our nation. However, we need your assistance. The money raised in this campaign will be used to purchase audio and video equipment which will allow us to ensure that the product given to you are of the highest quality.
