Dear friends

Our family is reaching out to you for your support. Over carnival, Michael was diagnosed with Metastatic Prostate Cancer and to our shock and heartbreak, we discovered he was already at Stage 4 and the tumors have spread throughout his body. This is not something we ever prepared for. Just the day before he was his usual highly active self. However as you can imagine he needs urgent and intense care and treatment.

He has already gone through numerous tests and scans and endured an intense round of radiation. Some days the side effects are unbearable for him. However, if you know Michael you know he does not ask for help at all. He is the person who will rather give everything he has to help others in need and do without. He deserves the best chance at beating this. In the coming weeks he will start his first round of IV Chemotherapy which some of us know, will bring its own challenges.

We are pleading for your help in raising funds to support his upcoming treatment, surgeries and medical bills as our family is no longer able to manage the medical bills on our own.

So the journey continues. It's now been 4 months since Michael was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. It's been challenging as in a blink of an eye everything changed. Sleepless nights, emergency rooms, hospitals, doctor offices and the wave of emotions of not knowing what the next day brings now becomes your life.
Michael has completed 5 straight days of radiation and is on final stretch for this 6 çycle of chemo. He has 2 more sessions to do then we do the PET scan to see where the cancer is still in the body. He now suffers from seizures because the cancer cells from tumor on his spine has fransferred to the CSF fluid in the spinal cord to the brain causing seizures so he always has to have someone with him. His last visit with the oncologist set him back as the news was not so good but Michael is a fighter so despite his challenges and bad days he keeps a positive mind. We continue to raise funds as his medical expenses and daily care 24/7 continues to grow. We are eternally grateful to aĺl those who have contributed in anyway no matter how small or big.
