On February 25th, 2025, Miracle Ministries Pentecostal High School made history as they received an invitation to the 2025 Penn Relays. This event is held at the historic Franklin Field in Philadelphia from April 24th to 26th, 2025.
A momentous achievement for the young athletes, as members of the school’s relay team, they are extended an opportunity to compete on an international level for the first time. A group of courageous, educated, self-motivated, driven & respectable young men clocked an average time of 41.50 seconds during meets they featured in at the Diego Martin Regional Sporting complex and Toco in February.
“We are a young group striving for greater things in the future. For us to achieve greatness, we need the public's assistance with any funding where applicable. We train daily at the Couva Recreational Ground with our coach, Mr. Jameel Joseph.”
Our associated cost of the trip includes: tickets, accommodation, gear, and meals. Unfortunately, due to the short timeframe of the event, we were not successful in acquiring all the funds needed for a successful trip. The costs are listed in detail below.
Tickets via Caribbean Airlines (POS to JFK) - $8,253.00 x 5 = $41,265.00
Accommodations Philadelphia Exton - $11,184.78
Meals - $100.00 USD per person for the duration (10)
Estimated Total cost - $60,000 TTD
As indicated previously, any assistance towards the team shall be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and efforts, and we hope to make you all proud at this historic event.
