Motivational speaker Les Brown wisely put together the famous quote that said “Ask for help. Not because you are weak, but because you want to remain strong”. These insightful words have helped me muster the courage to ask for what I need and truly hope you think I deserve it. Hi Everyone! My name is Ronaldo Huggins, a newly third-year Trinidadian Medical student at The St. George’s University in Grenada, with two remaining years in school. Since the beginning of my tenure at this university, I have excelled consistently in my studies and taken part voluntarily in extracurricular activities as well as given service to tutoring other students. Despite the numerous gold stars next to my name, my hopes to be awarded a full scholarship from the school were never met and my family was left questioning the next step to take regarding covering overwhelming tuition costs. It is for that reason, amongst many, that I humbly ask for any donations, regardless of the amount you are willing to give. One small gift can only bring me closer to breaking the wall standing between me and my dream of contributing to better healthcare for every single patient I have yet to meet. I am a resilient, dedicated, and very hardworking student and I would want nothing more than to bring that character into the medical field. Thank you!
