Help fund our T&T Photographic Society (TTphotosoc) Youth Training & Mentorship Programme.
In partnership with three grass root community organisations we are bringing photography to T&Ts youth living in at-risk communities. This programme has been developped following a successful pilot programme in 2019 with La Brea Police Youth Group.
The programme is a part-time, three-month long programme targeting youths aged 12 to 22 years old, currently in secondary school or unemployed recent school leavers, and willl run in Ryu Dan Dojo & Youth Empowerment Centre, Enterprise, Trinidad, La Brea Police Youth Group, Trinidad and Roxborough Police Youth Group, Tobago. This programme will bring the participants;
⬤ Practical photography skills & self-confidence towards sustainable opportunities for employment
⬤ An avenue to find pride in their local community & gain a voice through photography
⬤ Social support for their community, reducing crime & gang culture
⬤ Confidence to become engaged and work within their community, leading to positive change & driving sustainable growth and development
