At Bright New Beginnings Prep, we are committed to providing an inclusive, supportive environment where every child can thrive, regardless of their abilities. We are currently building a sensory gym to enhance the learning and play experiences for our students with sensory processing challenges, autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse needs. We’ve already taken the first step by purchasing some of the necessary equipment, but we need additional support to finish the gym in time for our upcoming Christmas Camp! Why is a Sensory Gym Important? A sensory gym offers: ●Therapeutic equipment to help children regulate sensory input. ●A safe space where students can improve motor skills, balance, and coordination. ●Calming zones for emotional regulation and stress relief. ●Opportunities for inclusive play, enabling all children to engage and explore in a supportive environment. Estimated Total Cost: On average, the cost of setting up a basic to mid-range sensory gym could range between $5,000 to $15,000. A more extensive setup with premium equipment could exceed $20,000. We began planning our gym based on the specific needs of our students, hoping that we will be able to fill the space and be well-equipped to serve children of all abilities safely and effectively.
