St. Clement Anglican Church, located at Manahambre Road Ste Madeleine Village, San Fernando Trinidad and Tobago W.I., was broken into recently by thieves and all the communication equipment (Audio mixer board, Amplifiers, Monitors, Processors, XLR Patch Cables and other highly sophisticated equipment stolen).
This latest incident (the fourth within the last six years) has left the vestry of the Church and the congregation devastated and traumatized.
We are trying to function as best as we can until the equipment is replaced.
Security at the Church was upgraded over the years (burglar proofing, CCTV cameras around Church etc) but that wasn't enough th keep out the thieves.
Pictures #1 above show the burglar proofed door the thieves gained entry through.
Picture #2 shows the protective steel enclosure where the communication equipment was kept under lock and key.
The vestry of the Church is soliciting donations to replace the stolen equipment and upgrade security inside the Church to prevent a recurrence.
Cost of the equipment and security upgrade will be approximately three hundred and seventy-five thousand TT dollars.
Members of the Church are embarking on a number of fund raising ventures, but additional assistance is needed to get us back to where we were before this unfortunate incident.
