The Caura Valley is one of Trinidad’s most cherished natural treasures. Families, hikers, and nature lovers visit the scenic Caura River and its surrounding green spaces to relax and enjoy the outdoors. However, heavy daily traffic and improper waste disposal leave behind piles of plastic bottles, food wrappers, and debris that threaten our local ecosystem and water quality.While volunteer drive-by cleanups help, they are not enough to keep up with the constant influx of garbage. To truly protect our environment, we need sustained, daily maintenance.

Why do i Need the funds for?

I am launching this FundMeTnT campaign to raise funds to pay a stipend for 5 local persons to assist 5 days a week for one full month (November).This dedicated crew will handle daily trash clearing, riverbank maintenance, and proper waste bagging along the heavily impacted areas of the valley in addition to grass cutting along the main Roads. Consistent care will restore the natural beauty of our Valley, protect wildlife, and ensure a safe, clean space for everyone who visits.

Budget Breakdown & Labor Costs: stipend for 5 workers for 30 days (5 days a week).Supplies & Gear: Garbage bags, gloves, and basic safety equipment for the crew.

Logistics: Coordinating proper removal of collected waste from the valley.
