Dear Friends and Family,
As some of you know, I have recently done an MRI and I am in need of an immediate Discectomy (L5-S1) to relieve the pressure on my spinal cord and allow me to regain normalcy.
Unfortunately, I do not have health insurance and joined the Neurological Clinic at the POS General Hospital. I spent two days there for pain management, but I cannot get another appointment to see them with my MRI results until mid-February. I was also told that that they would not be able to give me a date for surgery.
In the meantime, I am in intense pain and on strong painkillers daily. I have not been able to walk or stand on my own since the beginning of the year and I am bedridden. Even sitting is unbearable as I can’t sit upright, and the medication is not providing much relief.
I know that these are very difficult times financially for everyone - I feel that I have no other option but to start this Fund, as I am in excruciating pain and I am unable to go to work.
I am pleading for any assistance, no matter how small, to help me raise the $50,000 needed for surgery.
