Help Us Create a Healing House for individuals and families- dads, moms and Kids.
There was a time when I was a mother with nothing but my children and the overwhelming fear of what would happen next. I found myself in a situation where leaving wasn’t just about escaping the danger; it was about trying to hold on to some sense of hope for my children and myself. But how could I even think of leaving when I had no safe place for my kids to go? I had no support system, and with nowhere to turn, I had to make the hardest decision of my life—to leave them behind and escape. I left my children at an orphanage, hoping that one day I would be able to stand on my own two feet, find a job, and rebuild our lives. The pain of that decision still cuts deep, but it was the only choice I had if I was going to escape and create a future where we could live without fear. That’s why I’m asking for your help. The Healing House Project (THHP) is working to create a Healing House—a place of refuge and restoration—for persons who are in the same situation I once was. It will be a House of Healing where they can leave their children in a secure environment while they get the help they need to find work, escape the trauma, and rebuild their lives. For these individuals, it’s not just about escaping violence; it’s about creating the opportunity to be the parents they want to be. It’s about finding hope in the midst of despair, knowing that their children are safe while they find the strength to start over. The Healing House will offer more than just shelter—it will provide them with the peace of mind, support, and opportunity to heal and move forward. This 9-bedroom property we’re working to secure is the answer to many prayers—a place where moms, dads, can find respite and focus on what’s next. When a troubled parent is able to leave their children in a safe space, they can begin the journey of healing, reclaim their power, and return to rebuild their family stronger. But we need your help. For just $100, you can give a someone a chance to breathe, to focus, and to hope again. You can be part of making that shelter a reality for someone who needs it desperately. Please join us in turning this dream into a Healing House—a safe haven where lives are transformed and families are restored. Together, we can offer the kind of hope that once saved me.
