Hi, my name is Nikita—but many of you know me as Auntie Nikki or Kittii. I am a soon-to-be 38-year-old Developmental Therapist specializing in early intervention. With a diploma in Special Needs Education and Child Psychology, I’ve spent the past six years running an inclusive preschool and offering home intervention services, ensuring that children of all abilities get the support they need. I also own an educational resource online store that provides sensory tools and play-based learning materials to help children thrive. I have never been someone to ask for anything for myself, and when I do, it takes a lot out of me. But this year, I’m stepping out of my comfort zone. Why This Fundraiser? This year, I turn 38—a milestone I want to truly celebrate with gratitude for all that life has taught me. I have never celebrated my golden birthday, and for the first time, I want to do something for me—something that will not only change my life but also allow me to give back even more to the children I support. Many of you who asked about my birthday encouraged me to make this bold move, and so, here I am—asking for a drop in my fundraiser bucket to help me reach two important goals: 1️⃣ A Reliable Car for My Work – I travel between home visits, therapy sessions, and educational programs, carrying essential sensory resources and tools. Having my own car would make this work much easier and allow me to reach more children consistently. 2️⃣ Play Therapy Certification in England – This has been a dream of mine for years! Becoming a certified Play Therapist would allow me to expand my impact, helping children process emotions, trauma, and challenges through the power of play therapy. The Goal: $28,000 in 20 Days! My birthday is March 28th, and 28 has always been my favorite number. So, I’m giving myself 20 days to raise $28,000 to make this dream happen! It’s a big goal, but with the support of my amazing friends, family, and community, I believe we can do it together.
