Zinnia Li Cheewah - affectionately known as Z - was a vibrant force in Trinidad & Tobago’s creative community. She lived boldly, loved deeply, and expressed herself fearlessly through every brushstroke, lyric, and mural.

D’LegaZi is a living tribute to the life, work, and spirit of Z; one of Trinidad & Tobago’s most dynamic and unapologetically original artists.

Z didn’t just create - she nurtured creativity in others.

The D’LegaZi Project continues that impulse: a living tribute dedicated to uplifting emerging Caribbean creatives who dare to live - and make art - in full colour.

What We Are Building

D’LegaZi began as a tribute. It is evolving into something more:

A movement to celebrate Zinnia’s artistic legacy while investing in the next generation of artists and visionaries

Planned focus areas include:

• Public art initiatives
• Creative mentorship and showcase opportunities
• Grants or competitions for young, underrepresented artists

This isn’t a foundation – yet. It is a movement rooted in memory, artistic freedom, and Caribbean pride.
