After repeated assurances from the Bank stating that I woud receive funding for the full duration of my degree program, I got a call in the middle of first semester year two stating that my Loan request was denied. As a student, or rather anyone who has invested time, money, passion and lots of hard work for any project, you can imagine how devasting this call was. It felt like my world was falling apart a bit as the crucial step to me entering the next phase of my life now had to be put on hold or stopped entirely. The luxury of taking time off to build funds isn't available, especially during a time like this, where a pandemic sweeps the world and jobs are scarce. With my current degree path I would like to help in the fight to destigmatize mental illness and seeking help and my aim is to become someone that can help others see the best version of themselves so that they can help others do the same.
