10-year-old Kalicia is the firstborn of the Francis triplets. She is always the life of the party, with a quirky sense of humour and is the glue that holds the triplets together. She is very active and loves swimming, dancing, gymnastics, playing piano, painting and is a straight-A student. She is an absolute joy and positive influence with her infectious smile and positive attitude.

In May 2022, Kalicia complained of pain in her right leg. The following day while getting into the vehicle to visit the doctor, her femur spontaneously broke. Initially, we thought it was a simple fracture from playing as she presented no symptoms prior to this. However, the tests, scans and biopsies discovered what turned out to be the life-changing diagnosis of osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer.



She continues to display remarkable positivity during her difficult journey, far greater than any 10year old can display. She has been a brave warrior through her hospital visits, treatment and chemotherapy.
