This fundraising was created on behalf of Sheikh Kebba Wadda to help raise funds to expand his boarding school, Al-Furqan. Your donation matter! Hundreds of students are denied admission due to a lack of space. "Whatever good you put forward, you will find it with Allah" (Quran 2:110)

Al- Furqan is an Islamic boarding school affiliated with Cambridge University in The Gambia. It was founded by Kebba Wadda and his wife in 2014. Their goal was to open a school that would provide kids with both Islamic and English studies. They specialize in quranic memorization. Their target is for children to finish memorizing the Quran by year 8. They started with eight children and now have over 350 students, 15 of which have memorized the Quran. They have outgrown their current location and will like to expand the building. Their current location will be turned into a profit-free hospital for which they already have sponsors. They will need a total of 700,000 pounds to bring their vision to light. The expansion of the facility will give an opportunity to 900 students to learn the Quran and English. The new building will include two multipurpose sports grounds, two lab rooms, two sheds, a daycare and an eco-center composed of a botanical garden and animal farm. All funds will be going toward the construction of the new building.

Al-Furqan provides the best of both worlds. It creates an environment where our children can excel in Islamic studies and English studies. It gives us hope and comfort that our children will not only succeed in our deen but will have a quality education that will enable them to become doctors, engineers, etc
