Hi, my name is Michele Stanley-Camps. I never imagined I’d be writing something like this—but life has a way of humbling us when we least expect it.

On Sunday, April 13, I was hit with a sudden, sharp pain in my abdomen—pain like I’ve never felt before. I went to seek medical help not once, but twice, and by the second visit, doctors told me I needed emergency surgery that very night- my life depended on it. By midnight, I underwent major surgery to remove a blockage in my small intestine. It caught me completely off guard, but the surgery was successful, and I’m grateful for that.

After five days in the hospital, I was allowed to come home and begin the slow process of healing. While I’m grateful to be alive and recovering, I’m now facing a medical bill of $100,000 TT—an amount that has left me feeling overwhelmed.

If you know me, you know I’m not one to ask for help easily. But today, I’m putting pride aside. Anything you can give—no matter how small—would be a blessing and appreciated.
