My name is Samira Abraham, age 14. I have been dancing since Pre- School. My love for dancing did not stop during Covid. As I continued my dancing online.
2019 – I took part in ‘Tropical Heat’ dance competition and came 2nd, in my category.
2020 – I took part in ‘Tropical Heat’ dance competition and came 1st. in my category.
At present I am a member of SJC Wolves. In 2023, our team placed 1st in the Art of Dance Competition. In 2024, the SJC Wolves will be heading to ‘The Dance Team Union National Championships Competition’. It will be a dream come through to join my team on the international stage. Hence the reason why, I am asking for assistance to get there.
Many may not see dance as important, but to me dance is a very expressive art/sport. It allows you to communicate in ways words will never let you, like the saying, “action speak louder than words”. When I dance, I get to be a whole new person telling a new story every time. I love the diversity, the expressions and the joy that comes with dancing. I hope I can continue to dance for a very long time.
