This campaign has been set up to help 21 year old Geniva with the financial burdens that come with the battle to fight cancer.

Instead of celebrating the "coming of age" that any 21 year old would do, Geniva was left to ponder on a shocking diagnosis of thyroid cancer. About two months ago, Geniva was diagnosed with a rare form of Thyroid Cancer. In the last month she would have undergone emergency surgery , with the hopes of removing as much infected tissue as possible, as well as several tumours that were discovered whilst in surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery could not have been completed due to a tumour that had fused to her thyroid and calcium glands.

The medical approach of the doctors is to have her undergo three (3) high doses of Radioactive Iodine. The family was informed by the doctors that the public hospital does not have the type of radiation required and she would have to obtain the treatment at a private medical institution. A paid consultation was done to finalize the course of action relevant to treatment. The cost of one (1) dose of Radioactive Iodine is TTD $54,250.00. She is scheduled to begin this treatment on January 17th, 2023.

This diagnosis was very hard for Geniva to comprehend and accept. She has already asked if she was going to die. We can't let that be. The doctors indicated that she is young and if we move quickly on treatment she stands a strong chance of beating this cancer. We, her family are asking to please in any way you can, to help us save Geniva. There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to sum up how this has impacted Geniva and the family.

The financial sum of this campaign will cover the three (3) doses of Radioactive Iodine treatments that Geniva requires.
