Sunita is 40 years old and a wife and mother of three. About a year ago she was diagnosed with long-term hypertension (high blood pressure) which she did not know she was suffering from. She continued treating her illness with medications prescribed by her doctor. However, on 12th September 2022, tragedy struck when Sunita was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Kidney Disease (ESKD). This was caused by the long-term hypertension. End-Stage Renal Kidney Disease or kidney failure is the last stage of chronic kidney disease. This is when your kidneys can no longer support your body's needs. Her health declined quickly and her kidneys were down to 15%. The build up of fliud in her lungs and body caused her to have breathing problems. Sunita was hospitalized multiple times for emergency dialysis, until she visited a private doctor, where they inserted a dialysis catheter (a tube) in her neck. With this tube, she is currently undergoing Hemodialysis for a period of three days per week, and is awaiting the process of undergoing a kidney transplant which costs alot.
Unfortunately, it has put a great strain on her and her family when it comes to paying these medical bills. Sunita has not been working since the year 2021 and her and her husband has been living on one income. Therefore, we are asking that you donate to help support her. Anyone who is willing to assist us to give Sunita a chance to fight against kidney failure will be deeply appreciated.
