A month before April 27th 2022, my son Jaden Benjamin observed a bump on the side of his neck. We both had no idea what it was and thought maybe it might have been something very simple to deal with, so we decided not to go to the hospital right away. Jaden did his research a few days after and asked me to take him to the hospital. With no fear or hesitation, I took him to the hospital confident to myself that it was nothing serious. Jaden showed no sign of illness or discomfort. After the doctors did a full body exam they detected more bumps on the other side of his neck, under his arms and in his groin area. We were told that they were swollen lymph nodes. Some tests were done with the results showing abnormalities in his body and a very high white blood cell count. The doctor said it was possible that my son has blood cancer (leukaemia). How can my son possibly have this? Aren’t they seeing this healthy child standing in front of them?

After being warded at the Mount Hope Hospital undergoing a Bone Marrow Biopsy and other relevant tests, Jaden was diagnosed with ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA (ALL) on 1st May 2022. A child's and a mother's worst nightmare. Jaden has been warded in the hospital from April 27th 2022 to the 27th of May 2022. He was discharged from the hospital but had to start an intense programme of chemotherapy. As a result, Jaden is unable to attend school for six (6) months to one (1) year depending on his body’s response to the aggressive treatment.

His body can contract bacteria very easily and he is at high risk for any illness because his immune system is very weak. Jaden has been ill daily. On the 1st of June Jaden was unable to move his right leg and was also experiencing excruciating pain. He was taken back to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a blood infection and a clot in his right leg. Jaden is still warded at the Mount Hope Hospital undergoing Chemotherapy and being treated for other diagnoses to this date.

PLEASE PRAY FOR JADEN BENJAMIN

I must share my gratitude for all the prayers thus far and for you the Trinity family for considering Jaden.
Jaden's condition has indeed been a shocker and has been a nightmare. I will continue to trust in Almighty God.

The hospital does not provide all medication and the meds are generally very expensive. Any donation would be greatly appreciated in the cost of supporting Jaden with the purchase of medication and food supplies

Any further questions, feel free to contact Janelle (Jaden’s mummy) at 868-370-4635
