Siel Environmental Services Limited is a for profit social enterprise based in Trinidad and Tobago specializing in the areas of waste education, waste consultancy and environmental training. We transform the way people and organisations think and act towards waste. Siel at its core is about breaking stigmas attached to waste, creating new habits and concretizing existing information – in essence transformation is at the core of what we do.
Our waste education programme addresses the lack of this form of education in our schools, and how individual actions can affect the natural environment. As a young child in the 1980s, a popular nationwide campaign called “Chase Charlie (the litterbug) Away!” helped develop an ethos of civic responsibility towards maintaining a clean environment. We want to build on this legacy and be innovative all the while encapsulating the simple goal of keeping one’s immediate environment clean. Incorporated in this programme is our Waste literacy campaign where a series of books focused on environmental/waste issues are brought forward and discussed.Ultimately it is all about creating Eco Heroes in our nation’s children – empowering them to protect, defend and promote good environmental practices.
As a leader and social entrepreneur in the waste management sector, I have taken on the personal mission to speak truth with my talent, vision, and purpose to bring environmental change and innovation to the forefront. But I cannot do it alone. In order for us to turn moments into movements, we need the right tools, support, and networks to accelerate our vision. That's where you come in.
We want to partner with you in bringing this dream to life to work in tandem with our existing programme. We present our VIRTUAL BOOK LAUNCH. Help us bring our book forward to the world.
