The Rapidfire Kidz Foundation is a dynamic, philanthropic group created to help children across Trinidad and Tobago with various needs. Our President, Mr. Kevin Ratiram, spearheaded this initiative in 2012 and has enjoined talents with many progressive individuals over the years, all of whom come together with the sole purpose of enriching children’s lives in as many avenues as we can.

In August 2018, the Foundation opened the Rapidfire Kidz Foundation/ Fun Splash kids Playpark at the Palmiste Park. This Playpark is free to the public, and boasts the highest quality Playpark equipment. Due to its location, people from many areas visit and utilize it daily, including Hillpiece Village, Hermitage Village, Rambert Village, Duncan Village, Esperance Village, Bamboo Village, and Union Hall.

The Playpark is the Foundations’s greatest achievement to date. It was constructed solely with funds raised by the Foundation and its sponsors. No Government funding was requested or received.

Some of our most successful activities over the past few years are:

· Eyes Right Program – Children across numerous schools in Trinidad and Tobago have had their vision screened at school at no cost to their families and, to date, close to 800 pairs of spectacles have been given free of charge to the children that required them. This has been accomplished through partnership with many organizations over the years.
· Annual Christmas Treat – Kids from various Schools throughout the country have been entertained By Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Elves of the North Pole annually with treats and presents. (Pre Covid-19 Restrictions)
· Annual Hospital Christmas Treat – Children warded at the Children’s Hospital in San Fernando during Christmas time have been regaled with Santa, Mrs Claus and Elves of the North Pole bringing them Christmas cheer and gifts.
· Annual Hospital Easter Treat - Children warded at the Children’s Hospital in San Fernando during Easter time have received gifts to lift their spirits whilst recuperating at hospital.
· Wheel Chair Donation partnered with Uni-TnT for Children with those specific needs.
· Food Hamper Distribution for 30 families during the Covid-19 Lockdown Period.
· School Text Book Distribution for Primary School Students of Poole Presbyterian School (Standard 1).
· 20 Amazon Fire Tablets have been distributed to date to children to keep up with e-learning during the pandemic restrictions.
· Board Game Donations to Children’s Homes to cope with pandemic stresses.
· Mask Donation to Children’s Homes to aid with Covid-19 Healthcare Protocols.
· A Green Garden Space installed at the Haven of Hope Children’s Home to help create food sustainability and teach agricultural basics for the residents there (Pilot Project).
· Field Trips of the various Children’s Homes to the Movies, Eco Safari Park Chagaramas, Samsara Nature Park etc (Pre Covid-19 Restrictions).
· And many, many more activities – please visit our Facebook Page to review all our activities (https://www.facebook.com/RapidfireKidsFoundation)

We usually have various fund-raising events for the year that assist us with funding for these endeavours but under the current pandemic restrictions we have had to postpone these activities until it is safe for all of us to participate.

We have received the support of many organizations and individuals alike to bring success to our scheduled events in the past and, we now extend this platform to many of you that have expressed your desire to assist us with our events going forward.

We humbly and sincerely thank you for your generous support as each of us can make a difference in a child’s life.
