Hi I am Siobhan, a small business owner and film maker here in Trinidad and Tobago. About three years ago I found out that I have Diabetic Retinopathy in both eyes. I successfully had laser treatment in 2018 and 2019 in both eyes, but there has been complications and bleeding with my left eye, due to scaring, that has significantly affected my vision.

After recent tests I was told I would need emergency surgery on my left eye, called a vitrectomy, which in total will cost $35,000TTD, and has to be done privately as the surgery is not available through the public health care system.

I am therefore asking for any assistance to help me get this much needed surgery.

Thank you all in advance for your kind contributuions.
