GROOTS T&T is a grassroots community-based NGO that operated a Psychosocial and Counselling Centre, a Drop-centre and 2 transition homes for vulnerable communities (including  Mental Health Issues, Survivors of Domestic Gender-Based and Family Violence, People Living with HIV, Homelessness related to disaster).

OUR HOUSE: YOUR HOME is an initiative aimed at the organisation acquiring a space to call 'home'. Since the inception of our transition home in 2018, we have been renting. We are now being asked to vacate the space (for the second time) that housed both our office and transition home. This would mean putting women/mothers and children on the streets or sending them back to the volatile situations that brought them to us in the first place.

A location has been identified! It is ideal and will suit the needs of GROOTS T&T in accommodating both office and transition home. Your urgent donation is required so that the critical services that we are providing will be able to continue. Please make a donation that will help GROOTS T&T to achieve its goal in acquiring OUR HOUSE: YOUR HOME. By donating,  you will be helping to provide not only shelter but also a hot meal/food hamper to PLHIV-headed households (who depend on  their meds to stay alive, and food to take their meds), and life skills for the residents in our transition home.
