Sylphil's Home In Love is an orphanage in Tobago that has made its mark on the island since 1955 by consistently providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing space for the orphaned youth.
Recently, I connected with Mrs. Phillips-Jack and learned about her purpose, her impact, and the vision for the orphanage since its creation. Mrs. Phillips-Jack had a passion that was more than talk; it could be seen in the children brimming with confidence, focus, and ambition. Even more, it reflected her desire to empower the children of her community.
Sylphil's Home in Love currently has two bedrooms to house 12 children—a number that can increase on a moment's notice. With the understanding that uncomfortable living arrangements can hinder a child's growth, they embarked on a mission to expand the home six years ago. Unfortunately—due to the lack of funding and resources—the home's expansion has not been completed.
I now humbly call on you to assist in the completion of the home. Not only to help Mrs. Phillips-Jack and her team continue to provide the love, care, and support that they have provided orphans for over 50 years but to invest in these children's growth and the future of the beautiful island of Trinidad & Tobago.
