Hello friends and family, my father Mr.Errol Bethelmy is a 69 year old farmer from Matelot, who started having prostate issues in 2018 and was rushed to hospital one night, when he was not able to urinate. He was fitted with a catheter and since then, he has been attending the urology clinic.
After conducting several tests from 2018 to 2020, it showed that the prostate was not cancerous (Thanks be the God) and with the medication he was prescribed, had shrunk the lateral lobe of the prostate to its normal size.
However, after two trials in which the catheter was removed, he was still unable to urinate without the use of the catheter. It must also be noted that due to the pandemic his clinic appointments have been postponed on several occasions, sometimes up to six months.
It has been approximately three years without any conclusive plan to treat his issue, so we recently sought consultation from a private urologist, who immediately detected why he was unable to urinate on his own, after doing an ultrasound test. It showed that there was a growth into the bladder (the Median Lobe) and it requires a procedure to remove it at the cost $40,000TTD.
I am asking for your generous assistance to help him get this done as soon as possible, as there can be issues with prolonged use of a catheter.
